Doug Griffin earned his juris doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1991, after spending his final year of law school as a visiting student at Indiana University School of Law.  Doug earned his B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University prior to entering law school.


Doug has over thirty years of experience representing school districts and other public bodies as both outside and in-house counsel.  As a result, Doug has extensive knowledge and practical experience of the inner workings of schools and other entities on a full array of matters involving education, special education, employment, discrimination, the First Amendment, other constitutional rights, and a full array of other issues.  Doug has even authored books on School Law, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.


Doug is licensed to practice in Florida.  He is a staunch advocate for students, parents and employees, and Doug acts with firmness, fairness and compassion.
