Joseph Lento has spent close to 20 years advocating for clients; often fighting on behalf of clients in the nation’s highest stakes court systems. Joseph learned what it takes to win as an attorney in the trenches, and he is a skilled negotiator and fearless attorney who demands results. He graduated from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, attending classes at night while working tirelessly to support his dream of being an attorney. Joseph studied trial advocacy at the Defender Association of Philadelphia during his time at Temple Law and he was also awarded The Honorable Nicholas A. Cipriani Scholarship. While on his path to become a champion for his clients’ causes, Joseph earned his undergraduate degree at Villanova University and was also accepted into the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. While starting his law firm, Joseph served as a select private attorney for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender and continued his work with the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, the governing body of the Philadelphia court system. Joseph’s ambition as a young attorney allowed him to gain incomparable trial experience which, in part, allows him to achieve client results that speak for themselves. 


Joseph Lento is an active member of many notable legal associations and organizations which allows him to stay on the frontline of the law. In 2021, the National Trial Lawyers chose Joseph D. Lento as One of Its Top 100 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming the founding member of Lento Law Group, P.C., Joseph established his own law firm which he started and built from the ground up, and which has successfully handled thousands of cases. Joseph’s professional experience also includes his work with the School District of Philadelphia and his work with at-risk youth for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. Joseph is the previous Solicitor for the Borough of Penns Grove, New Jersey, after serving the Borough as Conflict Counsel.


He also serves as a First Judicial District of Pennsylvania certified arbitrator and an Eleventh Judicial District of Pennsylvania certified arbitrator, and he presides over civil actions filed respectively in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County and the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County. Joseph handles general law, with emphasis on Criminal, Education, Municipal and Governmental Law Class Actions, Mass Torts and Personal Injury. Joseph pursues goals with intensity, has opened every door in life on his own, and proudly fights the good fight. Joseph has long understood the importance of driving hard to achieve goals, and when all is said and done, he does what it takes to get his clients results!


Joe is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey.
