To get the Social Security Disability Benefit you deserve, you need to put in the right effort, and this calls for the right lawyer. At Lento Law Group, your Social Security Disability lawyer and the disability team will help you get through the lengthy and often complicated Social Security process from start to finish.

With Lento Disability assistance, you will know exactly how to navigate the initial application process and maximize your chances of being approved quickly.

In preparing your claim, your Lento Disability lawyer and the Lento Disability team will help you gather relevant medical records, including physical and medical tests, and all other information necessary for your Social Security Disability claim. If approved, your attorney will review your claim to make sure that you get what you fully qualify for.

Social Security Disability Appeals After Denial

Denial does not mean that you should give up on your application. More so, denial does not mean you do not qualify for a Social Security Disability claim. Call us today so we can immediately advise and initiate your appeals process.

If your application for Social Security Disability is denied, the Lento Disability Team will provide the legal representation and assistance you need throughout the appeals process.

The earlier you act, the better, because appeals must be filed within 60 days of receiving your determination letter. Your appeal, once filed, may go through four stages and your lawyer will be there to assist throughout.

Five Levels of Social Security Disability Review and Appeals:

  • Initial Application: Your application may be filed online with assistance from Lento Disability team unless you are filing an SSI application; this must be conducted via an interview with Social Security staff. The Lento Disability Team can prepare you, so you know what to expect and you are ready.
  • Reconsideration: IF denied at the initial application stage, the Lento Disability team will Appeal the denial on your behalf and file a request for reconsideration. Social Security will then take a fresh look at your claim and consider any new evidence. They may send you to a Social Security consultative evaluator; your Lento Disability Team will prepare you and assist in all aspects of this stage of the Social Security review.
  • Hearing Before an Administrative Law Judge: If your application is again denied the Lento Disability team will Appeal your case and request a Hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. At this stage, the Lento Disability team will gather evidence, request medical opinions, and prepare you to answer questions that the judge may ask at your disability hearing. Your Lento Disability team will prepare you and any witnesses that will help prove your claim.
  • Social Security's Appeals Council: If the Administrative Law Judge denies your case, the Lento Disability team will appeal your case to the Social Security Appeals Council. At this stage, your case may either be resolved or sent back to the administrative judge.
  • Federal Courts: If the Social Security Council still does not decide in your favor, you can file your Social Security Disability lawsuit at the federal court.
