Thomas Engel is an attorney admitted to Practice in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Tom has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Richard Stockton College, summa cum laude, with Program Distinction. Tom obtained his law degree from Rutgers University-Camden where he was Dean's List and Associate Student Notes Editor of the Journal of Law and Religion. Tom was active in the Tau Phi Delta legal fraternity and volunteered with the Volunteers for Income Tax Assistance program. In 1997, Tom enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard, where he attained the rank of Specialist. Tom served several missions related to homeland defense after the 9/11 attacks and was awarded three Army Achievement Medals and the National Defense Service Medal, among others.
After graduation, Tom was a law clerk to the Honorable Michael Brooke Fisher, of the New Jersey Superior Court in Cumberland County. Afterwards, Tom handled matters relating to securities fraud, breach of contract and products liability before settling his practice on family-based immigration.
Tom is a member of the Burlington County Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, the National Lawyers Guild, National Police Accountability Program (NPAP) and American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
